We're counting down now. We spent memorial day weekend at my parent's place printing and cutting invitations, buying wedding rings, and taking photos. As architecture dorks, we went to the Salk Institute in La Jolla for our engagement portrait session with photographer Nick Abadilla. We haven't seen the full photo shoot results yet, but here's a sneak preview:

We were in San Diego for Mother's Day this weekend and we fully took advantage of the time while we were down.
Yesterday morning, we met with our DJ, Victor, to go over music. He was sooo happy when we decided to not go with the normal wedding music. We are still debating whether to do the money dance or not. I guess we will just need to do a pros and cons list to decide whether to do it or not. Any suggestions?
Since we are thinking of lining the stage with candles as well as placing them on the tables, there are gonna be many many MANY candles. So we went to Michael's yesterday to see how much pre-filled votives cost. I guess we will have to see what the cost is online for the number of candles we need before we purchase anything.
Let's see... what else... oh! We have set the menu. Look in the coming week for updates to the reception section for menu details.
Also, the fun part now begins... We printed a mockup of the invitation package. After some minor adjustments, the printer now is spitting out the final design. I guess we will have a date with the exacto, cutting mat, and glue dots every night until they are done. And we will pick up more Envelopements pocket folds and order the stamps and clear bags sometime this coming week as well. I'm just not looking forward to the deadline for work AND this...
